Chingu Redesign
The Brief
Chingu Redesign is an independent portfolio redesign preview for Chingu, a developer community built around collaborative 6-week remote team projects. The local project frames the core problem clearly: self-directed developers often have knowledge, but not enough team experience, shipped projects, or real workflow practice. I extracted the main product story from the build: escape tutorial hell, join a matched Voyage team, work through a solo project and skill assessment, collaborate through GitHub and Discord, then ship a portfolio-ready product with a global community behind it.
The Solution
I shaped the redesign as a multi-page, motion-led experience across Home, How it works, Pricing, About, and Donate flows. The implementation uses Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, GSAP, ScrollTrigger, route transitions, a preloader, reusable reveal components, rolling number counters, and educational modals that clarify the preview is not the official Chingu website. The visual system pulls from Chingu content already present in the project: 11,150+ members, 2,028 developer teams, a 6-week Voyage model, real team projects, tiered example projects, $0 membership positioning, and a warm community-first message.
